TRUEMOLD, is a specialized powder coating solution developed for SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) applications, enabling the part to be coated during the molding process. By forming a chemical bond with SMC, it helps achieve a uniform coating film, even in recessed and complex areas. It also allows the mold pattern and gloss to be transferred to the SMC part. Thanks to its strong primer properties,
TRUEMOLD, helps reduce pinholes and surface defects, particularly in automotive components. It offers high outdoor durability and can be enhanced with additional properties such as electrical conductivity, food contact compliance, hygienic properties, flame retardancy, and anti-graffiti performance. Surfaces coated with
TRUEMOLD polyester coatings, demonstrate excellent resistance to outdoor conditions. Following a 5,000-hour accelerated UV B-313 test, no “fiber blooming” caused by UV radiation and moisture was observed. TRUEMOLD adds value to SMC components by offering additional properties such as electrical conductivity, food contact compliance, antibacterial/hygienic performance, flame retardancy, and anti-graffiti performance.
