Gloss-Reducing Powder Coating Additive
IBAFROST
IBAFROST, is a specially developed additive by İba Kimya, designed to reduce the gloss level of ready-to-use smooth powder coatings and create a matt surface finish. It can be added to smooth powder coatings in all colors for indoor applications and industrial outdoor applications. When a homogeneous mixture is achieved, uniform mattness is obtained across the coated surface. Increasing the IBAFROST addition level results in a lower gloss level and a more matt finish.

Application
- IBAFROST, is added to ready-to-use powder coating at a recommended rate of 5 – 30% to reduce the gloss level. Achieving a homogeneous mixture is important for obtaining a uniform matt finish. For large quantities, the use of a mechanical mixer is recommended. For small quantities, manual mixing can be used. Increasing the addition rate results in a more matt finish. The final gloss level may vary depending on the formulation of the powder coating being mixed with IBAFROST.
